Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, with a resident population of 1.3 million people. Nestled within the isthmus of the Pacific ocean and Tasman sea, the city of Auckland contains much serene natural beauty, including three harbours, numerous volcanic sites, scenic mountain ranges and more than fifty islands.
Living in a Homestay situation will be completely different to what you have been used to. Surroundings will be different, the culture will be different and the food of course, will be different.
Moving to a new country will have it's challenges and at International Homestays (2004) Ltd - we will assist you in dealing with those challenges. You will be living with a family, in a family home and you may at first feel a little disorientated. Host families will help you adjust and you should expect to spend time with them, learning about them as they will be learning about you.
We will endeavour to best match your requirements of homestay to the host family. If you require to be met at the airport on arrival, we will arrange the "Meet and Greet" which will take you directly to your host family home.

ABOUT International Homestays(2004) Ltd
International Homestays (2004) Ltd are contracted to a large number of English Language schools, Secondary schools, The University of Auckland and several student recruitment agencies, both in New Zealand and overseas. In addition to our Auckland homestay hosts, we also have host families in Christchurch and Hamilton.
International Homestays (2004) Ltd are also representatives to several language schools so we are able to provide enrolment information to those students who either wish to study in New Zealand or are thinking of different pathways.
Age is no barrier to placement - we have placed students as young as 13 years through to mature students of 60+ years.
International Homestays (2004) Ltd is owned and operated by Gary and Lisa Helmling. We have been involved with the placement of students, both International and domestic since 2002.
